Mars and PEDIGREE Foundation Partner with Katie Couric for New Digital Series: Unleashed

NEW YORK, NY — Mars incorporated and PEDIGREE Foundation are partnering with award-winning journalist and animal lover, Katie Couric, for a new digital series titled Unleashed.

The series features the former Today Show host interviewing her pet parent celebrity friends about their pets and the pet adoption experience.

In the first episode, Katie takes a stroll through New York City’s West Village with her celebrity friends actress and author Jenny Mollen and actor Jason Biggs along with the couple’s 15-year-old adopted Pomeranian mix, Gina. Mollen and Biggs are devoted dog parents and share Coric’s passion for their pets and pet adoption.

“I am a lifelong dog-lover and a long-time New Yorker, so it only made sense to tour my favorite city with some of my friends and their pups! Jenny, Jason, and Gina are hilarious and are the perfect guests for our first episode of Unleashed,” Couric told PEOPLE magazine.

Couric, Mollen, Biggs and Gina appeared to have a great time together. Here is a one-minute preview from the episode:

“I loved learning about their pet adoption experience and hope that it motivates people to consider rescuing a pet in need of a loving home!” Couric added.
