Community Standards

Every day, the Pawzhub community, including Pawzhub members and staff, works together to make Pawzhub a safe, fun, productive, and inclusive community for pet enthusiasts and professionals.

These community standards are meant to help us all have enjoyable and illuminating experiences as we share our love for pets in the community.

Thank you for being here and actively participating in this community. We appreciate your help in upholding these guidelines.

Standards for Participating in the Pawzhub Community

  • Respect your fellow Pawzhub members. Act with care and patience for your fellow community members. Remember that we are all here to share about and appreciate pets. This includes everyone on Pawzhub –– whether they’re new to the community, a staff member, or someone who has been here since day one.
  • Remember, this is a community about pets. There are plenty of other places to talk about politics, religion, sex, money, gossip, and other topics that get folks stirred up. Keep the public conversations related to pets.
  • Connect like a human and not a robot. Act genuinely and thoughtfully when you’re engaging with your fellow Pawzhub members. Help us stay spam-free by not artificially collecting likes, followers, or shares, posting repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent.
  • Differences of opinion are natural. Keep the discussion civil and on point. Share your viewpoint in a manner showing consideration for other members’ views.
  • Know that there are some behaviors that we won’t tolerate. Don’t use hate speech or offensive language, threaten another member’s safety or privacy, or harass anyone.
  • Don’t promote dangerous or illegal activity. Don’t post or promote activities that endanger pets or people. Pawzhub is not a place to support or praise terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. Buying or selling firearms, alcohol, tobacco products, non-medical or pharmaceutical drugs, or the illegal sale of animals between private individuals is not allowed.
  • Remember to post authentic content. Don’t post anything you don’t have the legal right to post.
  • You don’t have to use your real name on Pawzhub, but we require Pawzhub members to provide us with accurate and up-to-date information. Don’t impersonate others or create accounts to violate our guidelines or mislead others.

Consequences of Violating the Community Standards

Pawzhub reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to enforce these standards by removing content and/or suspending or deleting a member’s account.
